Japan Dated 1896 $350.00 An unusual uchishiki temple cloth featuring a colorful tortoise-shell pattern made up of patchwork (much like a North American quilt). This patwork consists of various kinds of chirimen and kinsha silk fabrics, each hexagonal piece were of the temple dedicator's family members' clothes: the dedicator - 'Chiyoko Nakagawa': written on backside - carefully made this cloth in order to ensure her family members' happiness.
